On-Board Charging Directly from Your Travel CPAP

Your battery that's included with the purchase of the PowerShell is a rechargeable lithium ion battery. But if you have the original Z1 battery, they can still be used!

When it comes time to charge your Extended Life Battery Pack, the battery module automatically begins to recharge in the PowerShell when plugged into AC or DC power supplies.

We do need to point out something when using the Z1 or Z2 Auto CPAP machine with the PowerShell and the time comes to recharge the battery.

The Z1 or Z2 Auto CPAP are not required to be in the PowerShell when your battery is charging.

However, if the Z1 or Z2 CPAP are in the PowerShell you'll need to place it in standby mode in order for the battery to charge.

The PowerShell will not charge your battery at the same time as you are using your Z1/Z2 Auto for treatment. But will charge when not in use using the standard Z1/Z2 power adapter.

No, you cannot run your Z1 or Z2 on a DC mobile adapter however, it can be used to charge the PowerShell. We cannot guarantee the mobile adapter will function with all cars, as battery voltage isn’t uniform.

How Do I Keep My Fully Charged Battery from Losing Charge While Not in Use?

Once your battery is fully charged, please disconnect your Z1/Z2 machine from your PowerShell and remove the battery from the PowerShell, or it will slowly drain the battery over the course of 2-3 days.

My PowerShell Battery is Not Charging, What Do I Do?

Make sure you hear a clicking noise when inserting your Breas Z1 or Z2 into the PowerShell.

If it is still not charging disconnect the Z1/Z2, battery, and power supply and reconnect.

  • Disconnect the battery from the PowerShell after a full charge to prevent the battery from slowly draining within a 2-3 day period.
  • The battery needs to be charged for 10-12 hours to ensure a full charge.
  • The bars of battery life on the LCD screen need to be full, and not blinking.
  • The PowerShell battery will not charge while it is operating the Z1/Z2 for treatment. The battery must be charged between treatments.
